​Writing has always been a part of me since elementary school.  I loved visiting our town's library, and gettting lost in a world of books.  It got even better once I was granted an all access to any book that I wanted, by using a library card.  Using my library card, I discovered the different genres, and the compelling stories written by authors who had achieved the perfect art of storytelling.  Suddenly, I wanted to be one of them.  So I tried my hand at it.

 

Notebook paper that was supposed to be used for school work was instead used  to write down my thoughts from my soaring imagination.  Notebook paper turned to journals, journals turned to fanfiction websites.  It wasn't long before I had mastered the art of storytelling and was compelling readers the same way some of my favorite authors had.

 

I had a growing fanbase and soon I wanted more.  I wanted more people to discover my art of storytelling.  My first step was to get an agent, but it was proving harder to do.  That is when I discovered self-publishing.  It was a way for me to get more of my work to readers.

 

So I thought why not?  I could obtain a bigger fanbase, and if I still wanted an agent in the future, I could do that too. 

 

Nothing is impossible.  My dream was to be a writer, and I have taken the steps needed to accomplish my dream.  If you have a dream, do not let anyone tell you that it's not possible.  As long as you believe and put in the hard work, it will come true.
